EVENT DETAILS
London to Paris 24 is both achievable yet challenging for a two-man team. The 300 mile route starts in Blackheath before speeding through the Kent countryside and on to Dover where a ferry to Calais awaits. Once in France we make a bee-line south towards Paris via Arras, with a midnight meal en-route. We continue cycling in relay through the night in escorted convoys until sunrise, followed by an early morning dash towards the French capital where we re-group on the outskirts of the city for the final push to the finish line under the Eiffel Tower - all no more than 24 hours since departing the UK! We have the afternoon to relax or sightsee at leisure Saturday afternoon before we celebrate with a fine meal on the Saturday evening, and then there's time to take in the atmosphere of the Tour de France climax on the Sunday before a Eurostar back to London.
The Route
The route is structured so each cyclist will pedal an equal distance, spread across 11 stages of cycling completed in under 24 hours. The route will be signed and supported by marshals, vehicles, and motorcycle outriders. There are 3 common stages where both team members cycle together, and a further 8 stages cycling in rotation. The route is direct and offers some of the best aspects of cycling on English and French roads. Full route description, maps, GPS data and stage information will be published in the members area, and is summarised below:
